AUGUST HAESE

August Haese, 56, Rockland farmer, dropped dead of a heart attack Monday while loading milk cans at the plant of the Lake to Lake Cooperative in Kiel.

Mr. Haese was trucking milk to the plant for his cousin, Harold Haese, who was busy threshing. He had unloaded the milk and was placing empty cans in the truck when stricken.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. John-James Evangelical Lutheran church, Reedsville. The Rev. Elwood Habermann will officiate and interment will be in the west side Reedsville cemetery.Mr. Haese was born in Rockland in 1894 and in 1918 married Nora Holtz. They located on the homestead farm.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Howard on the home farm; daughter, Thelma of Superior; brother, Hubert of Rantoul, Calumet county; two sisters, Mrs. Otto Buege of Milwaukee and Mrs. Herman Brehmer of Rantoul; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Reedsville funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday to lie in state until hour of services.
