Nellie C. Duescher, age 92, residing at Shady Lane Home in Manitowoc for the past 11 years entered her eternal home on Monday, April 22, 2002.
She was born April 19, 1910 to the late Mads and Christina (Larson) Christensen of New Denmark. On Oct. 27, 1931, she was united in marriage to Reinhard A. Duescher at the West Danish Lutheran Church in New Denmark. Reinhard preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1983. Nellie was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
Survivors are the caring angel staff of Shady Lane Home, nieces and nephews and her special family: Connie and Delmare Knier and family of Reedsville; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at noon at Shady Lane Home, 1235 S. 24th St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the Shady Lane Chapel from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to the Shady Lane Activity Department.
