RUTH I. BEHNKE

Ruth I. Behnke, 87, of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, formerly of Reedsville, died Sunday evening, March 19, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Rev. David Kipfmiller will officiate and burial will be in West Side Cemetery, Reedsville.

Mrs. Behnke was born January 8, 1902 in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Robert and Ida Krepline Fischer. She married Julius Behnke, February 2, 1922
in the Town of Rockland. She farmed with her husband for many years.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law,k Lester and Bernice Behnke of Brillion; two daughters and sons-in-law, Florence and Wilbert Denor of Reedsville and Dorothy
and Wilmer Rahn of Maple Grove; seven brothers and five sisters-in-law, Reinhardt Fischer of Manitowoc, Arnold and Margaret Fischer of Manitowoc, Leonard Fischer of
New Holstein, David and Madalene Fischer of Clayton, Delaware, Henry and Mabel Fischer of Reedsville, Elroy and Gertrude Fischer, Ruebin and Irma Fischer, all of
Brillion; three sisters, Lyla Wunsch and Adeline Behnke of Brillion and Verona Helgeson of Collins; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 3 great step
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, February 18, 1985; a son, Merlin in April of 1961 and a brother, Robert Fischer.
