Ernie Behnke, 47, town of Rockland farmer, died at his home Saturday night after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville, the Rev. Elwood Habermann officiating. Burial will be in West Side Church Cemetery,
Reedsville.
Born Sept. 19, 1905, in Rockland, he married the former Elsie Behnke Nov. 25, 1939. She survives as do two sons, (private), and a daughter, (private); two brothers, Richard of Rockland and Eddie of Rantoul; two sisters, Miss Effie Behnke of Rockland and Mrs. Esther Kirch of Racine.
Friends may call at the Reedsville Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church.
