Dr. Francis Swain Springall, 91, of Montgomery, AL, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004.
Graveside services and interment were held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m., in Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Karl Schwarz officiating.
Military honors at graveside were accorded by the Frantzen-Ahrens Post 7105 VFW and the Louis Jordan Post 244 American Legion.
Dr. Springall was born March 27, 1912, in Corpus Christi, the son of Herbert Springall and Bessie Newton Springall. He married Frances Reed on Jan. 19, 1947, in Kerrville and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Dr. Springall is survived by a daughter, Deanna Reed Springall of Austin, and a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Susan Springall of Montgomery, AL, and two grandchildren.
He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. W.H. and Dorothy Springall of Fredericksburg.
In addition to his parents, Dr. Springall was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Springall.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church.
