David Balliet, 94, died this morning at his home, Myerstown R. D. 2. He was a native of Carbon County, but lived in Myerstown for the past 65 years. Balliet, a retired coal salesman, was a graduate of Princeton University in 1894, where he was an outstanding athlete. He was a member of the Myerstown Reformed Church and the Masonic Lodge, Mount Lebanon No. 226. His wife, the former Sallie Uhrich died in 1942. He is survived by a son-in-law, Clyde Stepp, with whom he resided, and a number of nieces and nephews. His daughter preceded him in death a few years ago.
