Son of Benjamin McCullough & Nancy Jackson.

Ellinwood (KS) Leader, Sept. 4, 1930, pg. 1
"W. E. McCULLOUGH, The news of the death of Will McCullough, which occurred at the home of the deceased a few miles south of Ellinwood Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, came as a distinct shock to the many friends of Mr. McCullough, for though his health had not been good for many years, yet his condition had not even been regarded as serious by even his most intimate friends and acquaintances.
Mr. McCullough was born in the state of Ohio, March 8, 1870, and at the time of his death was aged 60 years, 5 months and 22 days.
When but seven years of age he came to Kansas with his parents, the parents settling on the farm south of Ellinwood where the deceased had ever since made his home, being a resident of that immediate community for a space of more than fifty-three years.
The deceased was a man of quiet and retiring disposition, but was withal a man of genial nature, kindly and charitable to all and ever ready to do all in his power for the comfort, happiness and success of others; and among his long-time neighbors where he was best known he was held in the highest of regard who value him as a good neighbor and friend and a splendid citizen.
Mr. McCullough never married and for years had lived by himself on the old family homestead. The only immediate surviving relatives are one brother, Perry McCullough, of the south side, besides cousins and nephews and nieces.
The funeral services for Mr. McCullough were held Monday forenoon, short services were being held at the home at 10:30, and the complete funeral service at the South Side Baptist church at 10:45 o'clock. Interment was made in the Ellinwood Cemetery."
