Marion "Mae" M. (Mair) Gibson, 91, formerly of rural Independence and had been residing in Elkhart, Indiana, passed away at the Greenleaf Healthcare Center, Elkhart, Indiana, on Thursday, March 3, 2014, at 6:54 a.m.
She was born in Vicksburg, Indiana on January 1, 1923 to the late Allan and Florence Barker Mair. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and infant Allan Mair and two sisters, Mary and Florence Mair. On October 18, 1941, Mae married Pearson "Gene" E. Gibson in Bloomfield, Indiana. He survives.
She is also survived by a daughter, Evon (Ken) Beattie; a son, Paul Gibson; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
