She is survived by six children; Stephanie Light and husband Herman of Sullivan, Missouri, Glenn Cook and wife Brenda, Marty Cook, and Earl “Bing” Cook all of Sullivan, Missouri, Carole Alexander and husband Curt of Bourbon, Missouri and Deanna Zelch and husband Steve of Sullivan; one brother, Bob Albert and wife JoAnn of Cottleville, Missouri; three sisters, Shirley Williams and husband Hank of Cuba, Missouri, Mary Sparks of Ft. Worth, Texas, Joan Slade and husband Harold of Davisville, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; other relatives and friends. Mrs. Dace was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, four sisters, a daughter-in-law, and three sisters-in-law.
Mrs. Dace was united in marriage to Cyrus Dace on September 5, 1959. She loved gardening, canning, quilting and working alongside her husband on their farm. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sullivan, Missouri. She and her husband allowed many gatherings of family and friends to church retreats at their summer place on Brazil Creek in Washington County. Held in highest regard for her caring and compassionate ways, she held together that special bond among her family and friends and those who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with her nephew, Rev. Jimmy Ray Dace officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Memorial Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri. Visitation was held Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
