Services for Sarah Price Haley, age 90, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Elder Larry Beasley and Tom Dominy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM until the service time. Mrs. Haley died Friday, April 4, 2014.
Mrs. Haley was a member of Dublin Norris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and Granny. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Haley enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially to celebrate family members' birthdays. She also enjoyed working in her yard.
Born on January 1, 1924, Mrs. Haley was the last surviving child of Charlie Robert Price and Zona Malatha Jones Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin M. Haley; sister, Louella Price Hagan Oliff; brothers, Lee Roy Price, Robert Alton Price, Wiley W. Price, Eugene Price, Vestus D. Price, Frank E. Price, Earl Andrew Price, Cecil Price, and Charlie Walter Price; children, Marveen Evelyn Haley, and Marion Ross Haley.
Survivors include her children, Patsy (Sam) Thompson, of Cadwell, Loree H. (Billy) Beacham, and Johnny Haley, all of Dublin; grandchildren, Eric (Wanda) Beacham, Shari (Bruce) Daniel, Samantha (Joe) Riner, Kip (Michelle) Haley, Chris Haley; great grandchildren, Luke Beacham, Angela Beacham, Sam Riner, Emma Kate Riner, Jack Riner, Amber Haley, and Kylie Sarah Haley.
Eric Beacham, Joe Riner, Kip Haley, Bruce Daniels, Mike Beacham, and Tom Dominy will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved church, Dublin Norris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Tom Dominy.
