Funeral services were held for Orville Treon at Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon, ND with burial at Hillside Cemetery. Reverend Richard J. Smith officiated. Mr. Treon died on 2 Oct 1971 at Hillsboro, OR.

Orville was born on 19 Aug 1905 to Franklin and Emma Pierron Treon at Versailles, Ohio.

He came to North Dakota in 1924 and farmed in the area. He married Thea Djoseland on 30 Jan 1925 at Esmond.

After farming in the area, he worked for the railroad for 19 years and retired in 1967.

Survivors include his wife,Thea; children, Leroy of Aloha, OR; Marlyn of American Falls,, Idaho, Mrs. Raymond (Lorraine) Anderson of American Falls, Idaho, Mrs. Martin (Eloise) Lucht of New Rockford, ND, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Johnson of Devils Lake, Juadelle Treon of Minneapolis, MNMrs. Glenn(Ardys) Salisbury of Devils Lake, Delano of Hillsboro, OR, Donna of Cornelius, OR and Mrs. Willis (Annabelle) Wheeler, Kenai, Alaska. Three brothers and seven sisters also survive in Ohio, 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
