Mr. Landers was a life-time resident of Madison county. He was born here July 12, 1888, a son of Eli and Sarah Caskey Landers. As a young man he worked as a barber at Bevington, moving to Winterset in 1919. He operated a barber shop in ths community until his retirement a few years ago
He was married April 9, 1908, to Eva L. Cummings. Her death occurred in 1968. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Velma Buttons and Mrs. Nina Longest.
He was a member of the Grace Baptist church of Winterset.
Mr. Landers is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nolan Stockwell of West Des Moines and Mrs. Willis Cox of Los Angeles; one granddaughter, and a sister, Bertha Cumings of St. Charles.
