Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Elder Louis Culver, Bro. Jimmy Sampler and Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Garner is survived by his parents, Obie D. and Janie Wingard Garner of Lightwood, Alabama; sister, Patricia Garner (Ed) Howell of Millbrook, Alabama; nephew, Paul W. (Pat Bryson) Johnson of Dothan, Alabama; niece, Susan (Trey) Connell of Cumming, Georgia; great nieces, Heather Johnson, Sara Johnson both of Dothan, Alabama; great-nephews, Will Johnson of Dothan, Alabama, Tanner Connell and Tristan Connell, both of Cumming, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be Will Johnson, Ralph Brown, Trey Connell, James Ellis Garner III, Ellis Garner and Larry Ray Martin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at New Hope Baptist Church.
