Robert served as a Staff Sergeant, 32nd Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Hillsborough County, prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on June 19, 1940, prior to the war. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the production of paint and varnish and also as Married.

Robert was "Killed In Action" on D-Day while storming Omaha Beach in France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
