Jason A. "Higgy" "Bear" Higgins of Baraboo passed away at the early age of 38 years 7 months 13 days on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at his home. Jason, the son of Ralph Higgins and Alice (Cook) Woodward, was born on August 20, 1975 in Baraboo. Jason graduated from Baraboo High School.

Higgy loved fishing, bowling, demo derbies, NASCAR, football, the Badgers and Packers, and thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with friends and making pop can derby cars.

Jason is survived by:
…his father, Ralph (Kathy Jellings) Higgins;
…mother, Alice (Greg)Woodward;
…sister, Jennifer Higgins;
…a nephew, Jordan Blue;
…his maternal grandmother, LaVona Adams;
…his friend, Logan Huffstutler;
…other relatives and
…many friends.

He was preceded in death by:
…his paternal grandparents, Aletha and Carl Higgins and
…his maternal grandfather, Robert H. Cook.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Redlin Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Redlin Funeral Home in Baraboo with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating.

Private family burial services will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family
