Emily M. Hill (nee Kohr), passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on March 29, 2014. Emily was 87 years old and was born September19, 1926. She lived her entire life in Annapolis, MD. Emily has three beloved children and three grandsons, as well as four great-grandchildren. Emily is survived by her son, Charles Blickenstaff of Annapolis, and her daughter, Crystal McKnew of Arnold, along with her sister, Mary S. Gray of Annapolis. She is preceded in death by her husband,Charles E. Hill and her son, Kirk Blickenstaff.
Emily was a seamstress by trade and worked at Admiral Cleaners when she was a teenager and Rainbow Cleaners as an adult. She enjoyed her family, sewing, cooking,baking Christmas cookies, going to yard sales, eating Maryland crabs and making and eating crab soup and crab cakes. Emily will be missed by many and remembered for her great sense of humor.
A visitation will beheld on Wednesday, April 2nd from 6:00to 8:00 p.m. at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. There will be a memorial service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Following the memorial service, the burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis. Flowers may be sent to John M. Taylor Funeral Home.
