George J. Fameree, 88, a resident of Manitowoc Health Care Center for the past 11 years, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1982.

He was born July 10, 1903 in Kewaunee County, the son of the late John and Frazie VanDrisse Fameree. He farmed most of his life until 1957 when he was then employed at Northern Wisconsin Produce until his retirement. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran church and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, jerry and Jean Fameree of Mishicot; a brother, John Fameree of Green Bay; two granddaughters, Vicki and Kim Fameree, both of Manitowoc; a great-grandson, David; four step-grandchildren, Lyn (Gary) Kinjerski, of Mishicot, Mark (Theresa) Paral of Green Bay, Mike (Kathy)Paral of Kewaunee, Brian (Melony) paral of Kewaunee; 11 step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Agnes, who died Dec. 5, 1979; two brothers, Clifford and Nora Fameree.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First German Evangelical Luteran Church, Manitowoc, Revs. Arno J. Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter officiated, with burial at Forestview Cemetery, Two Rivers, WI.
