Walter Ostrander Green, 48, a resident of St. Anthony, Idaho, and former resident of Salt Lake, died Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. as he entered Salt Lake while en route to the Veteran's Hospital here for treatment of a bowel ailment.
Mr. Green was riding in an automobile driven by his stepson, Allen Brown of St. Anthony, and was accompanied by his brother-in-law, A. E. Lemmon of Rigby, Idaho.
Born in South Cottonwood, Utah, a son of Robert and Mary Emaline Kenner Green, he formerly engaged in the blacksmith trade. He moved to Idaho several years ago and prior to his death was engaged in farming. He was a veteran of the World War.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma Josephine Green, St. Anthony, and a sister, Mrs. O. E. Lemmon, Rigby, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted in Salt Lake, the time and place pending the arrival of the widow and sister.
