Mr. Jesse Bryant Allen, 72, of Dunn died Saturday night at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital. He was born December 1, 1941 in Johnston County, son of the late Oda Bryant Allen and Pearl Jernigan Allen. He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Jeffrey Smith, two brothers, George Russell Allen and Daren Odell Allen, and two sisters, Catherine Oroso and Gladys Morris.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 31 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Lee officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Allen, one step-daughter, Ellen Blackmon of Dunn, one brother Terry Allen of Four Oaks, one sister, Lynn Allen Rhodes and husband Vernon "Rit" of Four Oaks, and three step grandchildren, Kellie Blackmon, Jennifer Blackmon, and Cameron Smith.
