Smith Funeral

The body of John Taylor Smith, who died in the hospital in Evansville of pneumonia, was brought to the home of his son, Bert Smith, Sunday morning.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church Monday morning with Rev. Wyndham H. Nutter of Alfordsville officiating. Burial was made in Old Union cemetery near Alfordsville. Pallbearers were W. H. Hedrick, Charles Hedrick, Samuel Scott, Charlie Scott, Herman Smith and Harold Baker.

Mr. Smith is survived by three sons, Levi and Charles of Lafayette, and Bert, of Wheatland. Eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters, Mrs. Mariah Scales, of Wheatland, and Mrs. Alice Potter, of Washington.

Music was furnished by a choir which sang "Where We'll Never Grow Old," "In the Garden" and Sometime We'll Understand." Mrs. Smith preceded him in death Oct. 8, 1933.
