She attended school at Craig High School. Heather enjoyed arts, crafts and painting. She especially enjoyed the family dog, Dixie.
Heather passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 16.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, H. Andrew and Dorothy Lewis, and her maternal grandfather, Harold Purtle.
Survivors include her parents, Janet L. Lewis of Craig, Missouri, and James J. Lewis of Mound City, Missouri; sister, Rachel, and brother, Ryan, both of the home; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Ottman of Maryville, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a community of friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Family visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be at English Grove Cemetery in Fairfax, Missouri
