WADE - Vernie S. Faulkner, 94, loving husband of 75 years to Bessie "Betty" (Kinney) Faulkner and father to his only child, Pauline, passed from this life on March 30, 2014, in Caribou. He was born Dec. 15, 1919, the son of the late John Freeman and Nellie (Day) Faulkner in Woodland.

He lived life to the fullest, loving and enjoying many relatives and friends. He was a caring "people person," a hard worker, lover of the outdoors, with a sense of humor and a good natured outlook. Those he knew or those he just met enjoyed his stories and sense of fun.

Mr. Faulkner was predeceased by his parents; six brothers; and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty; their daughter, Pauline both of Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Faulkner will be held later in the spring at a date announced in the Bangor Daily News by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
