Tante Alwine was baptized March 15, 1863, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ummendorf, Germany. Her baptismal sponsors were Heinrich Friedrichs, Wilhelm Kutschmann, and Elisabeth Mensch nee Friedrichs.
Alwine was confirmed March 26, 1877, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ummendorf. Her confirmation text was Psalm 18: 2-3: "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies".
Tante Alwine married Karl Hermann Domke on June 5, 1887, in Ummendorf. Karl Domke was born May 30, 1853, in Seehof bei Teltow, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany; he was the son of Friedrich Domke and Marie Wilhelmine Schar.
Karl Domke was a farmer and a shepherd. Onkel Karl Domke's date of death is not known.
Karl and Alwine (nee Friedrichs) Domke were the parents of five children:
(1.) Elisabeth Alwine Domke born February 28, 1888, in Ummendorf, Germany
(2). Hermann Karl Domke born October 31, 1889, in Ummendorf, Germany
(3.) Hermann Karl Domke born May 10, 1891, in Ummendorf, Germany

(5.) Gustav Otto Domke born February 10, 1895, in Ummendorf, Germany

Tante Alwine Domke's funeral took place on Oct. 27, 1925. The burial records of St. Marienberg Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helmstedt state that Tante Alwine's funeral and burial "took place at 2 P.M, and was public, with the ringing of the church bells."

At her death in 1925, Alwine Domke nee Friedrichs was survived by her son, Otto Domke; her two daughters, Alwine Bock nee Domke and Erna Klatt nee Domke; her grandson Adalbert Klatt and her granddaughter Lucie Domke; and two sisters, Emilie Voigt nee Friedrichs and Elsbeth Emmer nee Friedrichs.
