Laurie Beth Fisher Fillmore was born on December 9, 1957, she was the last of four children of Walter and Myrtha (Conrad) Fisher who lived on a dairy farm in the Deep Red Creek Community east of Manitou, Oklahoma. She attended Manitou Grade School and graduated from Frederick High School in 1976. She and Rex Fillmore were united in marriage on September 2, 1976, in the Frederick First United Methodist Church. They have two daughters, Jessica and Amy, and a son Dustin all graduates from Frederick High School. A farm girl at heart, Laurie was her Daddy's top hand; as a young woman she was capable as any man of plowing a straight furrow. She was Rex's friend, fishing partner and confidant all her adult life. She was a loving mother to her children and anybody else's who happened to be at her table. She was an excellent cook, a rated "gourmet chef" by her mother who herself, was known as an excellent cook by friends, family and Methodist preachers. Laurie's life was her family. One of her greatest joys was teaching her grandchildren how to cook and take care of themselves. She loved being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Rex of the home; her mother, Myrtha Fisher of Frederick; two daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Brian Sheffield of Frederick and Amy Fillmore of Vernon, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Dawn Fillmore of Blanchard; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Glenda Fisher of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren, Taen and Tavares Gaines, Talan, Alexis and Dylan Sheffield, and Emily and Trenton Fillmore; and a several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
