Mary Smith, 88, formerly of 229 S. Davis, died at 11 a.m. March 8, in Good Samaritan Home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1890 in Wapello County, to William and Sarah Jane Sweeney Munley and lived in Ottumwa most of her life. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society. She married Ira Smith Oct. 27, 1915, in Ottumwa. He died in 1973.
Survivors: a sister, Anna McCoy of Ottumwa.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Hart will celebrate a Mass of the Resurrection. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Martin L., Martin J., Lloyd, John E. and John M. Munley and Tom Mullin.
Christian Wake Service: 8 p.m. today, Jay Funeral Home.
