Lr. Col. Vannah E. Van Horn, USA (Ret), age 42, of 616 Evans Ave., died Sunday at a local hospital. He was a member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and was Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff Communications Electronics, Headquarters, 4th U.S. Army. He graduated from San Antonio College and received his B.B.A. from the University of Hawaii and his M.S. from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Frances M.
Van Horn; daughters, Debra Ann Van Horn, Pamela Ann Van Horn; son Jeffery Lee Van Horn, all of San Antonio. Service Wednesday at 9:30 at Main Post Chapel, Fort Sam Houston, the Rev. Charles Simpson, officiating, Intermittent with full military honors in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements with Porter Loring (McCullough at Elmira).
