ARNOLD "PEANUT" HARDESTY, 85, of Lesage, W.Va., passed away at his home on June 9, 2008. He was born January 23, 1923, to the late Ollie and Calvin Hardesty. He is survived by Vivian Hardesty and three daughters, Jean (Ron) McComas, Sue (late Jim) Spence and Linda (Perk) Dailey; six grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Steve Dailey, Jamie Donsbach, Stephanie Blankenship, Ronda Woodrum and Nicole Whitt; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Tom, Donald, Harley, Willie and Charlie; and five sisters, Gladys, Hilda, Sophia Jesse and Ines. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Union Ridge Cemetery by Rev. Buddy Mills. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 139, Milton, W.Va.
