Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Marks Phillips, age 89, Plainfield, formerly of Coatsville, were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 18, 1972 in the Weaver Funeral Home, Coatsville, with Rev. Malcolm Neier officiating. Burial was in Coatsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips was born at Coatsville on June 25, 1883, the daughter of Levi and Flora Pike Harlan. Her first husband, Samuel E. Marks, died in 1964. She was married to George L. Phillips in 1948, and he died in 1969. For many years she lived in Hollywood, Calif., and was a member of the Fountain Avenue Baptist Church there.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Edwards, Plainfield; a granddaughter, Mrs. Irma Lee White, Plainfield, and three grandchildren.
