Mary Rathfon Mendenall, 88, of 201 Mohawk Ave., Norwood died Tuesday. She was married to the late Clarence H. Mendenhall and lived in Norwood for the last 51 years.
She was a Member of the Norwood Methodist Church where she served as superintendent of the Primary Department of the Sunday School for 43 years. She survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Rolls, of Norwood; Mrs. Doris Mansley, of Prospect Park; and Mary Congdon, of Springfield; three sons, Clarence Mendenhall Jr., of Norwood; henry Mendenhall of Norwood; four brothers, John Rathfon, Frank Rathfon and Ray Rathfon all of Harrisburg Pa.; Arthur Rathfon, of New Cumberland Pa.; a sister Mrs. Ellen Crook of Duncannon, Pa.; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Norwood Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery, Upper Darby. Calling hours will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the curch.
