He was the husband of Mary I. Zerbe. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary Aug.5.
Born in Bowmansville, he was a son of the late Theodore F. and Mary A. Wise Zerbe.
He retired in 1977 as plant foreman for Indust-
rial Metal Plating of Reading, where he was employed for 17 years.
Zerbe was formerly employed for 25 years by
Textile Machine Works of Wyomissing.
He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In addition to his wife, survivors are a son,
Jairus E., of Sinking Spring; two granddaugh-
ters; two great-grandsons; four sisters: Ann R. Good, Dorothy R. Zerbe, and Helen L. Zerbe, all of Narvon, and Catherine E. Kring of Bowmansville.
