Kathryn Jean "Kay" Cox, age 89, of Lincoln, Nebraska formerly Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Goldcrest Retirement Center in Adams, Nebraska. Kathryn was born May 8, 1924 in Stanton, Iowa the daughter of David and Laura (Johnson) Lantz. Kay graduated from Red Oak High School and attended college in Wahoo, Nebraska. Kay was a long time member of the Grace Baptist Church. Kay enjoyed reading God's Word, attending church, Sunday School, Bible studies, singing hymns, listening to Christian radio programs, passing out gospel tracts and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother: Wayne Lantz; and sisters: Geneva Sunquist and Melverine Hedegaard. Survivors include her daughter: Tammy Urbauer and husband James of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren: Makayla Urbauer and Daniel Urbauer of Lincoln, NE; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Mamre Cemetery in Stanton, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
