Grace C. Manheimer, age 76 of Newtown died March 31, 2014 at Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Manheimer was the wife of the late Robert Manheimer. She was born in The Bronx, NY on July 29, 1937 a daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Huston. A resident of Newtown since 1978, Grace was a teaching assistant at Hawley School for 32 years and also volunteered in the school library and for the book buddy program. She had previously lived in Pelham, NY and Norwalk, CT. Mrs. Manheimer is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Caprio and her husband John of Bethel and Lauren Tannone and her husband John of New Milford; a brother, Walter Hutson of Newtown and a grandson, John Caprio, III. A Graveside service will be held 11:00am Thursday April 3rd at St. Rose Cemetery, Cherry Street, Sandy Hook. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
