Survived by parents Ken and Jeanne; sister, Susan and her husband, Major Ed Bean; niece, Kelsey Duque; uncles and aunts, Jim (Celia) Stouse and Mike (Sue) Stouse; godmother, Joan (Norm) Collins; cousins, other relatives, fellow Marines and many, many friends.

Blake was a dedicated Marine and helped many people in his too short life. His 18 years in the Unites States Marine Corps took him all around the world: the United States, Japan, Russia, North and South Korea and the Phillipines, just to name a few. Blake was also a part of JPAC, which helped locate and return missing remains of WW II airmen from the South Pacific. Blake was held in the highest regard as part of the Marine EOD unit and saved countless lives due to his skill and bravery.

Softly the stars are shining,
Upon this precious grave,
Beneath lies a young man we truly loved,
But whom we could not save.

In life we loved him dearly,
In death we love him still.
In our hearts he holds a special place
No one will ever fill.

It broke our hearts to lose him,
But he didn't go alone;
For a part of us went with him
The day God took him home.
