Garvie Bacon Jessup, 75, Cadiz, died at 12:05pm Monday at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.
Services will be at 1pm Thursday at the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Larkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be this afternoon and with the family from 6 until 7 tonight at Gamble Funeral Home.
A native of Cadiz, she was born Jan 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Jerry and Bertie Burke Bacon. She was a retired laundry attendant at Fort Campbell and was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mother's Board and the senior choir.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar Jessup; a daughter, Jannie Crain, Cave City; four sons, Jerry Jessup, Bowling Green, Jackie Edward Jessup, Cadiz, Ivan A. Jessup, Madisonville, Ricky L. Jessup, Cerulean; two sisters, Emma Baker, Evansville, Ind., Mary Hopson, Canton; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
