He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a branch manager at Bancroft Paper Company throughout the southern part of the United States.
After his retirement, Lynn and his wife started Mary's Country Crafts, which they enjoyed as a hobby for many years. Lynn was also an avid sports fan. He was a beloved, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his sons, Lynn "Lucky" J. Ross, Jr. and his wife, Juanita, David A. Ross, and wife, Dianne, and Earl A. Ross; daughters, Shirley Ross Marsden and Mary Lynne Ross Stowell and husband, Ralph; grandchildren, Melanie Ross Alexander, Anita Ross Robert, Lynn J. Ross, III, Jamie Ross Simmons, Katie Ross Richardson, Bette-Brooke Ross, Brett Ross, Daisy Ellisor Bourassa, Meshell Durden, Madelon Stowell, LCpl Joseph Ross Stowell; great-grandchildren, Emily Alexander, Ross Alexander, Olivia Alexander, Lyndsey Quirk, Abigail Quirk, Brenna Robert, Brooke Robert, Jude Robert, Victoria Ross, Caleb Ross, Cade Ross, Anne-Marie Ross, Emma Durden, James Durden, and Whitt Simmons; brother, Bert J. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church until Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
