D. Jean Lyons, 76, Berlin, died March 30, 2014 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born May 6, 1937 in Berlin, daughter of William and Helen (Bowser) Walters. Preceded in death by parents, sister Lois Pollard and brother-in-law Frank. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles; children: Don (Denise) Walters, Flagstaff, AZ; William A. (Cathi) Berkey, Harrisburg; and Mark Lyons and fiancée Becky, Westernport, Maryland; grandchildren: Jason (Denver) Walters, Heath Berkey, Justin (Becky) Walters, Josh (Jenn) Walters, Alan (Sarrah) Lyons, and Gina and Monica Lyons; Great grandson Waylon Walters; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and grand puppy Major. She was a 1956 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and the former produce manager at the Riverside market in Berlin. Member of the Berlin Brethren Church. She enjoyed bird watching, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Tom Sprowls Jr. officiating.
