Kathryn A. Morse, 85, of Mason City, died Sunday (March 30, 2014) at Homestead Assisted Living in Mason City under the care of Hospice of North Iowa and the staff of Homestead Assisted Living.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 2, 2014) at Epiphany Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 5th St. S.E., Mason City. Committal services will follow in Elmwood - St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday evening (April 1, 2014) from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, where the Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Kathryn's name in care of her family.

Kathryn Ann Colloton was born on February 23, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Harold and Miriam (Kelly) Colloton. At an early age the family moved to Mason City where Kathryn began attending St. Joseph Catholic School, graduating among the class of 1947.

Following her graduation Kathryn began working at Pittsburg Paint Glass in Mason City as a bookkeeper.

On February 16, 1957 she was united in marriage to Roger D. Morse at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City. Together they would be blessed with the birth of their daughter, Susan. In 1962 Kathryn left the workplace to stay home and devote herself to their young family.

In earlier years Kathryn and Roger loved getting together with their friends to play cards, watching old movies and taking day trips with their friends to area casinos. Kathryn also devoted countless hours to volunteering at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa for over 30 years.

Those grateful in sharing in her life are her daughter, Susan (Robert) Bartsch, Ames; her grandchildren, Kelly Ann (Ryan) Halverson, Asbury, and Bryan Roger (Holly) Bartsch, Sioux City; great grandsons, Ty, Riley, and Aidyn Halverson, and an expectant great grandson in May; her brothers, John (Mary Ann) Colloton, Iowa City, Richard Colloton, Burlingame, Calif., and J. Michael (Sandra) Colloton, Hudson, WI; her brother in law, Gordon (Betty) Morse, Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger D. Morse; and her brother, Jimmy Colloton.
