Funeral services for Mark J. Meier age 65 of West Point, NE will be at the Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Military Honors by the West Point Honor Guard will follow with interment in the St. Michael's Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be on Monday from noon to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Mark John Meier was born on April 3, 1948 at West Point, NE to Rudolph J. and Leona C. (Tingelhoff) Meier. He attended Guardian Angels Catholic School and graduated from West Point High School in 1967. Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on May 26, 1967 and was honorably discharged on January 15, 1969. On April 3, 1971, he married Mary Lou Holtz. Mark was engaged in farming southeast of West Point and also cooked meat for catered events.
Mark was a member of the West Point Sportsmen's Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4912.
