Mary A. Collin, 58, of 1144 First St., Kiel died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

She was the former Mary Klauck, born March 9, 1956 in Kiel, daughter of Jeanette (Neumeyer) Klauck and the late John Klauck.

She attended SS Peter & Paul Grade School & was a 1974 graduate of Kiel High School. She received an Optometric Assistant's Degree from Lakeshore Technical College.

On September 11, 1976 she married David Collin at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

Mary had worked at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein for 18 years and for the past 8 years had been employed at Drs. Wall & Hamilton, Sheboygan as an optometric assistant.

She was an active member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel as well as the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mary was a 14 year breast cancer survivor.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially weekend sleepovers.

She enjoyed creating beautiful gardens in her yard where she could make anything grow. Mary was very artistic and crafty. She was always working on a new project.

Mary worked hard to get jobs done all the while having a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She also enjoyed reading and listening to books in her car

Survivors include her husband, David, of Kiel, children; Amy (Tim) Moschkau, Madison, Nick (Penny) Collin, St. Cloud, three grandchildren; Sam, Lilly & Alex Moschkau and her mother, Jeanette Klauck, Kiel. She is further survived by her brothers & sisters; Dan (Rita) Klauck, Colorado, Dr. Jerry Klauck, Utah, Karen (Aug) Hau, Hartford, Kathy (Matt) Bohan, Florida, Julie (Dr. Bob) Steiner, Lodi, Sue (Doug) Woodruff, Utah, Dr. Sara (David) Johnson, Williams Bay, mother-in-law, Arlyne Collin, her in-laws; Richard (Violet) Collin, Curt Collin, all of New Holstein, Jim Scott, Kiel, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John, sister-in-law, Sandy Scott and father-in-law, Roger Collin.

The funeral Mass for Mary will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, (413 Fremont St., Kiel) with Rev. Fredrick Sserugga and Deacon Pat Knier officiating.

Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St., Kiel) on Wednesday evening, April 2, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm and at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:30 am when brief family rites will be held.

Mary's family would like to extend their thanks to the Kiel Police Department, and Kiel & Plymouth Ambulance Service for their help and a special thank you to the ER & ICU units at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for all their care and compassion.
