Lucian Clinton Arnett, 98, formerly of Blain Highway, Waverly, OH, died 8:15 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, OH.
He was born October 20, 1915 in Breathitt County, KY, the son of the late Geriard Kinner Arnett and Emily Margaret (Taulbee) Arnett. On November 25, 1936 Lucian was united in marriage to Marjorie G. (Dunkle) Arnett who preceded him in death April 3, 2002.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Butler (Sharon) Arnett of Beavercreek, OH, Patrick C. (Liega) Arnett of Morgan Hill, CA, William J. (Lisa) of Cincinnati, OH, four grandchildren, Katherine Arnett and husband Mark Pugel of Dayton, OH, David Arnett of New York City, NY, Grace (Daniel) Gepford of Cincinnati, OH, Jonathon Arnett of Columbus, OH, and a brother, Orval (Theo) Arnett of Waverly, OH.
His parents, wife, two brothers, Richmond and Camden Parker Arnett, four sisters, Eula Oyer, Elizabeth Dixon, Venice Hortense Arnett and Ella Margaret Arnett.
Lucian was a retired truck driver for Columbus and Southern Electric Corporation with 30 years of service, an excellent woodworker and remodeled his family farmhouse where he lived 61 years.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, OH.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
