He was self employed & was known for caring for all the needs in the community of Wilmont. Whether someone needed their lawn mowed, something fixed, or just a helping hand he was always there to meet the need. A natural athlete, he loved to play pool, ping pong, hockey, chess, football, and no matter the sport or task, he always excelled. He attended the Cromwell United Methodist Church. Donald will always be remembered for his selfless love of his family & especially his children. Above all else he loved & was dedicated to his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by five children, Jessica, Halley, Ashley, & Tonya Corbin all of Garrett, IN & Izaiah Vandezande of Fort Wayne, IN; two grandchildren; his mother, Peggy McGlothlin of Garrett; four siblings, Mark (Kary) Hirschey of Larwill, IN, Heidi Harlan of Garrett, Lyle McGlothlin of Fort Wayne, IN, & Lynda McGlothlin of Garrett; best friend, Les of North Webster; and last but not least, his dog Zeus.
A funeral service will be held in Donald's honor on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 7PM at Yeager funeral Home-1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Dave officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 PM prior to the service. A private family committal will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Yeager Funeral Home.
