Mr. Wallace C. Campbell, age 75, of 3044 Haywood Valley Road, Armuchee, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011, at a local hospital.

Mr. Campbell was born in Floyd County, Georgia on July 19, 1936, son of the late Charles F. Campbell and the late Willie Bohannon Campbell. He was a member of the West Union Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Mr. Campbell worked for a number of years for General Electric.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Maxine Miller; a daughter, Mrs. Dina Vick, and her husband, Dr. Jamey Vick, Rome; a son, Rex Campbell, and his wife, Christy, Calhoun; 5 grandchildren, Lex Vick, Alea Vick, Matthew Campbell, Noah Campbell, and Parker Campbell; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Tietjen, Americus; 2 brothers, Earl Campbell, Armuchee, and Frank Campbell, Homer; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at 3:30pm at the West Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the West Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the West Union Baptist Church Christian Life Center on Sunday from 2pm until the service time. At other hours they may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the West Union Baptist Church on Sunday at 3:00pm and include: Leyden Vaughn, Hudon Miller, Charlie Miller, David Campbell, Brien Branton, and K. M. Miller.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
