Edward Mullins, age 72, of Live Oak passed away Friday, March 14, 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife and caregiver of 52 years Susan Davis Mullins, son Michael Mullins (Terry Gaw) of Arlington, Virginia, and daughter Sandra McDermott (Tom) of Flagler Beach, Florida. Additional survivors include granddaughter Abby Bonilla and great grandson Kasen of Palm Coast, Florida; sisters Kitty Bonnell of Newnan, Georgia and Charlotte (Norman) Bevan of Leesburg, Georgia; mother-in-law Marilyn Davis of St. Augustine, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law Ron and Judy Davis of Merritt Island, Florida and Bobbi and Johnny Hatten of Jackson, Mississippi. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was predeceased by his parents W.G. and Ruth Mullins, and father-in-law Dr. Joe Davis. He was also predeceased by a brother W.G. Mullins, Jr., and sisters Lillian Mullins Green and Barbara Mullins Kirby.
Edward was born in Live Oak and was a resident all but a few years of his life. He graduated from Suwannee High School, and was a residential and commercial builder. He was a passionate outdoorsman, hunter, fisher, and gardener.
He deeply loved his family, lifelong friends, and his ever-growing relationship with God.
Services were held 2:00 PM, Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Wally Weaver officiating. A private burial will be in his family plot at the Live Oak Cemetery at a later date.
