SERVICES PLANNED
‎ ‎ ‎ CALDWELL—A double funeral service will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church in Wilder for Mrs. Clara Luella Buffington and Mrs. Laura May Buffington, victims of the automobile-train accident at Nyssa, Ore., Monday morning, which claimed five lives.
‎ ‎ ‎ The services will be conducted by the Rev. E. W. Stuchberry of Caldwell and interment will be in the Roswell cemetery.
‎ ‎ ‎ Mrs. Clara L. Buffington, 34, was born in John Day, Ore., December 26, 1902. She came to Wilder in 1920. She was married the same year in Caldwell and had lived here continuously until recently when the family moved to Payette.
‎ ‎ ‎ She survived by her husband, M. J. Buffington, of Payette; two children, Lola and William, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Bloom; six brothers, Clyde Ford, James Ford, Marlon Ford, Walter Ford, Lawson Ford, and George Ford, and one sister, Mrs. Viola Trump.
‎ ‎ ‎ Laura May Buffington, whose birthday was May 10, the day on which she was killed, was 23 years of age. She was born in Erie, Penn., in 1914.
‎ ‎ ‎ Surviving are her husband, L. F. Buffington, of Payette; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Besecker, of Parma; one sister, Mrs. Irma Dean, and two brothers, John Besecker and Thomas Besecker, all of Parma.
