Sandra Fields Vickers, 70, of Wray died Thursday March 27, 2014 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services were held Sunday March 30, 2014 at Satilla Baptist Church in Irwin County with the Rev. William Pope and the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. She was born September 19, 1943 in Atlanta to the late Rue Artis and Marie Lois Parker Fields. She graduated from Russell High School in East Point, Ga. She had lived in the community since 1964 and was a bookkeeper for Fender Automotive Group for many years. Mrs. Vickers was a very active member of Satilla Baptist church. She loved her church and her family dearly. She is survived by her husband: Wayne Vickers of Wray; 1 daughter: Tracy Smith(Jeffery) of Ocilla, 1 son: Tony Vickers and fiance; Karen Miller of Leesburg; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. 2 sisters: Diane White(Leon) of McDonough; Faith Strickland(David) of Canton, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Fields. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
