1885, Friday January 9 The Almonte Gazette page 2
In Ramsay, on Wednesday, Jan 7th, 1885, Maggie Neilson, aged 30 years. Funeral from the residence of her father, Mr James Neilson, Ramsay, on Friday 9th, inst., at 12 o'clock noon, to the Eighth Line Cemetery, Ramsay
On Wednesday morning Miss Maggie Neilson, daughter of Mr Jas Neilson, of the 11th line Ramsay, who has been ailing for several years, added yet another to the long list of the victims of consumption. The deceased, from being laid aside so long, was not, perhaps so well known as her sister who formerly taught school in Almonte, and is now the wife of the Rev Mr Wilkie, who was also one time assistant high school teacher here. We understand the deceased was a patient sufferer, and was thirty years of age.
