DEATHS
In Ramsay, May 11th, Janet McIlquham, wife of Mr John Neilson, aged 43 years
1906, Friday May 18, The Almonte Gazette front page
Mrs John Neilson
After a period of failing health from pernicious anaemia extending back for three of four years, death claimed Mrs John Neilson, of Ramsay, on Friday morning last, and called her away from friends and loved ones to the world beyond. The deceased, whose maiden name was Janet McIlquham, was a daughter of the late Walter McIlquham, of Drummond, and was forty-three years of age. Seven years ago last March she was married to Mr John Neilson, of Ramsay, and was hereabout made many warm friends by her kindly temperament and loveable disposition, and her demise is a cause of sincere regret in many hearts. Of her brothers and sisters Messrs Walter and William and Mrs John Menzies are in Carleton Place; Peter is at Pincher Creek; Mrs Henry Blair at Pakenham, and John, Geo and Miss McIlquham are in Drummond. No family was born to Mr and Mrs Neilson, and Mr Neilson is left to bear alone the sorrow that has entered his home. In this he has the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The funeral on Monday afternoon to the eighth line cemetery was very largely attended.
