Elsie Mae (Patterson) Taylor, 94, of Olney, went home to be with her Lord at 7:11 a.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, from Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Graveside services for Elsie will be held be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney. The Reverend Mike Baker will conduct the services at the graveside. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
Elsie Mae (Patterson) Taylor was born on November 29, 1919, in Richland County, the daughter of James L. and Dorothy (Nash) Patterson. They preceded her in death. She married Thomas Taylor in September 1938 in Kentucky.
Elsie was a member of Glenwood Christian Church in Noble, Illinois, and loved outdoor activities. She loved to garden and fish and the great outdoors with all of its many wonders.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by daughter, Shirley Dugan, of Olney; brother, John Thomas Patterson and his wife, Lois, of Olney; her pet Poodle "Sissy"; and grandson, Tommy Ray Dugan, of Olney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Patterson, husband Thomas Taylor, brothers, Orville, Burt and Robert Patterson, sisters, Margaret McDowell, Dorothy Finnigan and an infant sister, and son-in-law, Tom Dugan.
