Bill Baker of Plano, Texas passed away March 27, 2014 at the age of 73. He was born May 27, 1940 to Claude Luther and Juanita Alene (Fellers) Baker in Quanah, Texas. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army. He married Janet L. Ausbrooks on November 1, 1969 in Dallas, Texas. Bill worked for Texas Instruments for thirty years before his retirement in 1997.
Bill is survived by his wife Janet L. Baker of Plano, Texas; sons, Greg Baker of Plano, Texas and Billy Shayne Proudhorse of Mansfield, Texas; sisters, Martha Jo Nichols of Gladewater, Texas, Marion Harris of Dumas, Texas and Linda Craig of Lindale, Texas; and a host of other loving friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy W. Baker, Jr.; brother, C.L. Baker; and sister, Lynnell Armstrong.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
