Peggy Babbs, 63, of West Salem, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Akron City Hospital following a sudden illness.

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Babbs was born July 15, 1950 in Lodi to the late Howard (Curly) and Ellen (Cowhick) Babbs.

She was a 1969 graduate of Northwestern High School and graduated from Meredith Manor Horse Academy in Dahlonega, Ga. She later received a bachelor's degree in finance from Akron University. She had worked at Rubbermaid, Inc., Lowe's and the Timken Co.

Peggy enjoyed exhibiting antiques and cross-stitch work at the Wayne County Fair and attending Dave Acker's Auctions at the Fairgrounds. She had a great passion for family genealogy and loved her dogs Bob and Micki.

Services will be Tuesday at noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following at Burbank Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
